Red Conical Diamond Bit (1 cm) – Nail Plate Preparation and Cuticle Finishing Perfect adhesion of the technical material begins with an impeccable preparation of the natural nail. The YAS Conical Diamond Bit (red ring), with a generous 1 cm working surface, is a dual-action tool, indispensable in the prep stage. It eliminates the need to use a manual file or buffer, significantly shortening the working time, while providing a delicate finish to the skin around the nail. Technical Specifications & Advantages in the Salon: Extended Conical Shape (1 cm length): The 1 cm length offers a wide and flat contact surface. This design allows the fast coverage of the entire natural nail surface in a minimum number of movements, keeping the bit perfectly parallel to the nail plate. Safe and Uniform Matting: Completely replaces the classic buffer. Its shape is specially designed to lift the natural shine (the lipid layer) and create the necessary mechanical adhesion for the base, easily reaching even the hard-to-reach areas near the lateral sinuses. Fine Abrasiveness (Red Ring): The fine grit guarantees a non-invasive preparation. It superficially scratches the nail surface strictly as much as needed for adhesion, completely eliminating the risk of thinning the nail plate or creating rings of fire (grooves). Cuticle Area Finishing: Besides nail preparation, the upper part of the cone is excellent for smoothing the lateral folds and buffing the dry skin after cutting the cuticle, preventing hangnails. Resistance and Hygiene: Built with uniformly distributed diamond particles on a stainless steel shaft, the bit does not load quickly with dust and withstands all cycles of thermal sterilization (dry heat sterilizer/autoclave). Pro Tip for Technicians: Set the e-file to a very low speed (5,000 - 8,000 RPM). The secret of matting with this 1 cm conical bit is the completely flat positioning on the nail. Do not use the tip and do not exert downward pressure! Let the fine grit slightly touch the nail plate with left-to-right movements. In a single fluid pass, the nail will be perfectly matte, dusted off, and ready for the application of preparation solutions (Nail Prep / Primer).
