Blue Conical-Cylindrical Diamond Bit – Performance in Cuticle Removal (Dry Technique) The 100% hardware manicure (without the use of cutting tools) reaches a new level of efficiency when you choose the right geometry. The YAS Conical-Cylindrical Diamond Bit (blue ring) is the ultimate tool for technicians practicing the Dry technique. The combination of its hybrid truncated cone shape and medium abrasiveness transforms cuticle cutting from a challenge into a fast, safe procedure with perfectly smooth results. Technical Specifications & Advantages in the Salon: Conical-Cylindrical Shape (Truncated Cone): This hybrid geometry combines the precision of a cone with the flat buffing surface of a cylinder. Its slightly beveled upper edge is designed exactly to catch and remove (mechanically "cut") the lifted cuticle band, without scratching the nail plate. Medium Abrasiveness (Blue Ring): The medium-hardness diamond grit is ideal for removing normal to rough cuticles, with a tendency to thicken. It cuts dead tissue much faster than a fine bit (red), shortening the hardware procedure time. Mastering the Dry Technique (Without Scissors): It is the tool that makes the magic of the completely dry manicure. After the eponychium has been previously lifted with a flame bit, this e-file bit rolls along the cuticle "skirt", buffing it until it completely disappears, without leaving frayed edges. Buffing the Lateral Folds: Due to its straight side, the bit can also be successfully used to smooth calluses (keratosis) on the lateral sinuses and fingertips, offering a flawless look to the entire hand. Resistance and Sterilization: Made of a premium stainless steel alloy and coated with a resistant diamond powder, the bit does not lose its edge and can be safely disinfected or sterilized at high temperatures (dry heat sterilizer/autoclave). Pro Tip for Technicians: Set the e-file machine to a speed of 10,000 - 15,000 RPM. The secret of a perfect cut in the Dry technique with this hybrid bit is the working angle: keep the bit parallel to the nail plate, using only its upper edge (the beveled area) to "erase" the cuticle band from left to right (or vice versa, depending on the set rotation direction). The tension created by the medium abrasiveness will cleanly exfoliate the dead skin, leaving a healthy fold, ready for a flawless color application.
