Supreme 2 Professional Scissors – Elongated Blades for Continuous and Precise Cutting Every technician has a unique working style, and choosing the right tool depends on the approach and hand anatomy. The YAS Supreme 2 Scissors are designed for professionals who prefer a wide, fluid, and rapid cut. Featuring longer blades compared to the Supreme 1 model and benefiting from the same precision manual sharpening, this tool ensures a clean removal of the cuticle in a minimum number of movements. Technical Specifications & Workplace Advantages Long and Thin Blades (~18 mm): The 18 mm blade length provides an extended cutting surface. This design allows for tackling longer sections of the cuticle in a single closure, ideal for clients with a wide cuticle band or for technicians with a fast-paced workflow. Extended Size (~93 mm): With a total length of approximately 93 mm, these scissors offer perfect balance and superior leverage. They are extremely comfortable, fitting perfectly for technicians with medium or large hands, as well as those who prefer a more relaxed grip on the instrument. Manual Sharpening Under Microscope: The tool is manually processed and sharpened by specialists, guaranteeing a perfect cut without pulling or fraying the skin. Note: Due to the artisanal nature of the finishing process, dimensions may vary slightly (by fractions of a millimeter), highlighting the unique character of each piece. Optimized Curvature: The slightly curved shape of the blades naturally follows the eponychium line, allowing a smooth transition from the left sinus to the right for a "single-strip" cut. Professional Maintenance: Made of high-quality stainless steel, the scissors withstand rigorous cleaning and thermal sterilization procedures (autoclave/dry heat sterilizer). Pro Tip for Technicians & Maintenance Thanks to the 18 mm blades, you have the advantage of cutting larger portions of tissue at once. Start the cut from the lateral sinus using the upper third of the blades and guide the tool with fluid movements along the proximal fold. The Golden Rule for Maintenance: The intense heat from the autoclave or dry heat sterilizer can dry out the joints of metal instruments. After each sterilization cycle (once the scissors have cooled), add a micro-drop of lubricating oil to the screw joint. Open and close the blades 2-3 times to allow the oil to penetrate. This step prevents metal friction, premature blade wear, and the appearance of rust in the joint.
