Liquid Polybase – Rigid Semi-Permanent Base for Extensions and Modeling (Medium Viscosity) TPO Free Liquid Polybase is a glitter-infused builder gel polish with an extremely strong structure and low flexibility (rigid). Due to its medium viscosity and post-polymerization hardness, it behaves similarly to a builder gel, allowing for small to medium extensions on forms as well as apex modeling. Being a rigid base, it perfectly supports filing for architectural finishing, making it the ideal solution for strengthening very fragile natural nails. Solved Challenges in the Salon: Broken Corners / Need for Extensions: Unlike classic rubber bases (which are too elastic to support an extension), Polybase has the necessary rigidity to extend the nail on a form (small/medium extensions), saving the manicure without switching to a classic gel system. Thin, "Paper-like" Natural Nails: Its low flexibility provides a hard "shield" over the natural nail, preventing bending and breaking during mechanical shocks. Difficult Filing of Gummy Bases: Thanks to its strong polymer structure, Polybase does not clog the drill bit and allows for precise filing, just like a hard gel, making it perfect for correcting architecture. Lifting with Hard Materials: By following the correct adhesion protocol (with a flexible base underneath), it prevents any form of detachment at the cuticle area. Features: Medium Viscosity: Controlled leveling. It does not run into the folds, giving the technician the necessary time to model the apex or the extension on the form. Hybrid Product (Strong Structure): Combines the speed of bottle application (specific to gel polishes) with the durability and strength of builder gel. Excellent Pigmentation: Formulated with high-quality cosmetic pigments, it evens out the nail bed and covers imperfections in a single modeling layer. Instructions for Use: Because Liquid Polybase is a hard/rigid material, it requires a "shock absorber" between itself and the natural nail to prevent lifting. Mechanical Preparation: Finely buff the nail and remove dust. Chemical Preparation: Apply Nail Prep (dehydrator) and Bonder (acid-free primer). Allow to air dry. Adhesion Layer (Critical Step): Apply a transparent base layer (we recommend Liquid Base or clear Rubber Base), brushed very thinly and massaged into the nail plate. Polymerize completely. Modeling / Extension: Mount the form (if applicable) and create the extension or build the apex using Liquid Polybase. Finishing: Due to its structure, the material can be degreased and filed to achieve the perfect shape. Technical Tip (Heat Management): Because Polybase creates a very tight polymer network to provide its strong structure, it releases heat during polymerization (heat spike), especially when applied in a modeling layer (apex). Use the Low Heat Mode of the lamp (if available) or instruct the client to remove their hand from the lamp at the first signs of heating for 3-5 seconds, then reinsert.
